Officials said that on Friday the number of people who died in the hit of Hurricane Matthew in Haiti has risen to 478, after they got information from inaccessible areas.
Various government departments and agencies published different data on the number of dead. Civil Protection officials have confirmed that at the local level there are at least 478 victims.
Around 61,500 people are still situated in temporary shelters.
Hurricane Matthew is the strongest storm that occurred in the Caribbean area in the last ten years. The storm is now moving towards the US state of Florida, where state of emergency is declared.
