A few days before the presidential election in the United States, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) published 17 years old documents containing long closed investigation of how Bill Clinton as president pardoned fugitive financier Marc Rich who has been convicted in 1983.
Rich fled to Switzerland to avoid prosecution, and passed away in 2013.
White House spokesman Josh Earnest said he was not aware that anyone from the White House was informed of this material prior to its publication.
A spokesman for Hillary Clinton Brian Fallon is in a media statement asked if the FBI would publish documents on account of Trump, which relate to housing discrimination in 1970s.
The FBI has said that the documents were published shortly after being requested more than three times through Freedom of Information Act.
The statement adds that this represents only a “preliminary” release documents and that there might be more.
